Protocol 1 - Functional Diagnosis involves actions on 🏭machines where #sensors and CPS are already in place. This can be the status of the #machines in an “as is” condition, when Protocols are introduced.

If machines are ❌not ready for Functional Diagnosis to be applied, Protocol Zero-Modernise is first implemented. Hence, Protocol 1 is triggered when there is enough #data to be analysed, to derive a 👀#diagnosis on the status of the #equipment.

⚙The SKIQ16 machine is modernized in @LevelUp_eu for Pilot Line 1 by TOSHULIN. One of the new features after its modernization, is application of volumetric compensation VCS A5plus on Sinumerik One control system. This part of PL1 is a collaboration between TOSHULIN & @FMEbutENG
📐The LaserTRACER from Hexagon AICON ETALON GmbH is used to measure volumetric deviations. Machine compensation includes the X, Z & C axes, evaluated according to the procedure presented in the figure below.
🔎Due to the kinematics chain of the vertical lathe, an improvement in volumetric accuracy of about 45 % is obtained. Examples of the SKIQ16 measurements are shown in the photos.
