Introducing Marvellous Marthy - An award-winning 9 year old girl with a love of science…
Nanoco was proud to donate to Marthy's vision recently, to help her put on her own science workshops for local children such as ‘Gooey Science’ about making slime and ‘Explosive Science’, whereby children made fizzy Easter eggs.
As a company, we believe in empowering, supporting and developing women and girls into STEM.
Marthy is already well known within the STEM field, winning the Science Presenter of the Year Award in 2020 and has been actively featured in both the Global Science Show and World Space Week.
We look forward to following and supporting Marthy’s journey, we think she is brilliant!

Summer Internship Opportunity!
As part of our commitment to support STEM work opportunities we would like to offer 2 summer interns the chance to work with us.
Ideally from a chemistry discipline, interns will have the opportunity to work on one of our two projects:
🔴 Conduct semiconductor quantum dots testing used in formulation recipes gaining experience in formulation and characterisation of quantum dots
🟠 Investigate integration of semiconductor quantum dots into small devices gaining experience in formulation, characterisation of quantum dots and their integration into devices
The details:
🟡 9am-5pm (with 1hr lunch – 35hr work week – some flexibility may be agreed)
🟢 Real living wage pay based on age
🔵 Runcorn-based
🟣 Early June start date to September
This will be an opportunity to work with some great innovators and exciting technology.
