This is great, love Cooley, and credit to Tomlinson for not saying “that’s great Devin and just to follow up, what the hell are you talking about”

Pioneers Swept by Wolverines to Begin Home Portion of Title Defense

If you don’t score on a five-on-three, you don’t deserve to win. Maybe never in the history of college hockey has that adage proved truer than it did this weekend at Magness Arena. In g…

Petty and funny disses from both sides aside, I really, really hope these teams meet again in DC next April. That was fun, high event hockey that showcased the absolute best that college hockey has to offer. This is how we grow the game.

4-3 final. Hard to feel good about getting swept at home, but there were plenty of encouraging things from a young Denver team for mid-October. But two home losses are two homes losses. Not good.

Michigan thinks they scored. Refs waved it off. Crazy night.

They’re going to review it and it’s going to be a good goal. Moldenhauer never touched the puck with his high stick, so it’ll be 4-3 Michigan. Tough break for Denver on the bounce.

4x4 hockey for 2 minutes. These teams do not like each other. And I love it. This has been phenomenal hockey all weekend. David Carle and Brandon Naurato would vehemently disagree but I would happily take 40 games of just this for a season.

DENVER TIES IT!!!!!!!! Oh captain my captain!!! Kieran Cebrian with the goal! Ivankovic has his mask knocked off so I would bet the review it. Call on the ice is a good goal though.

If they review it, it should be a good goal. Puck was in before the mask came off.

And here come the whistles to even up the penalties. Denver had their chances in the 2nd and couldn’t cash in. Now they’re going to deal with the tightest whistle of the weekend for the final 20 minutes. Ashcroft off for a (legit) holding call.

Massive massive kill for Denver keeps it a 3-2 game

3rd period is underway. Michigan kills off what was left of those two penalties, unsurprisingly
