Also, if the boring blue creatures in a boring floating land area are mandatory... they just need to be some new non-playable characters (not a playable race) with a new reputation, quest and mechanics related to whatever Blizz is going to do with Forever. And for those who insist in the high-born origin and all that, yeah ppl, Blizz can keep making new races that have zero cohesion with anything previously established ad nauseam, just look at retail lmao. At this point adding Protoss would make much more sense than this shitshow.

This dragged an unexpected amount of attention. So, to everyone saying that it could've also been ogres or blood elves, you are a 100% correct. It could've also been goblins, half ogre-half orc... You could go a little further and say "no more elves plz" and go for Worgens/Gilneans or Kul Tiran. It could be anything that makes ACTUAL sense to Classic lore, even if it means to rework the way this already existing races were presented and not this stuff that just looks like a SL ripoff/recycled thing. Even Murlocs would've made more sense...

They objectively don’t make enough money to keep ignoring their audience. A random sloppy mobile game is pulling better numbers than WoW right now.
