Was very honored to be inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers this morning.
Another great piece from Ken about the guy who was the heart and soul of Tech football the past several years! So happy for his success.
When Haynes King called his dad to confirm that he'd made the Panthers' 53-man roster, it was about as emotional and goose-bumpy as you might imagine a Haynes King conversation to be.
Said John King: "Very short response. Not too excited."

Great piece from @ksugiuraajc before England's ATL game. Great reading for my barrister friends. I say "your honor", you say "my lord", I say the jury "is" & you say "the jury are". Trial lawyers & barristers know you speak to the audience before you. ajc.com/sports/2026/07/tryin…
As a trial lawyer, I totally agree with @TomMarsLaw 's assessment. And the Judge's order provides scant reasoning for why he thinks Sorsby will ultimately "succeed on the merits" in this case.

If you disagree with or don’t understand what Scott Pelley is saying here, you don’t understand the role of a journalist.
New statement from Scott Pelley:
There has never been anything in America like 60 Minutes.
The Sunday tradition is the most successful program of any kind in history. For more than a decade, its innovative growth on every major online platform has extended its reach to countless millions around the world. This spring, at the end of our 58thseason, 60 Minutes grew rapidly with an unheard-of 9% jump in viewers on CBS.
“60” has been the number-one program in America for decades because our beloved audience finds integrity, quality, and humanity in our stories. When stewardship of the program passed to my colleagues and me, our responsibility was to expand energetically into a new age of media technology while preserving the values our audience expects. Now, the new owner of our network is casting this legend aside, apparently to curry a moment of favor with the Trump administration.
The waste is heartbreaking.
Last month, 60 Minutes lost its DNA when our entire senior leadership and two of our best on-air correspondents were cruelly fired without cause. Good people were silenced because they stood up for our audience. They stood for fairness against the forces of political bias; they stood for professionalism against chaos.
For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them. Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done. Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.
At 60 Minutes, we have fought harder than anyone knows to save the program that became an American icon. We owed that to our millions of viewers. I am deeply moved by the thousands of wishes we have received to “keep up the good fight.” Most of the men and women of CBS News are still in that fight. But now the collapse of values at the top has become untenable. The leadership of 60 Minutes is no longer recognizable. The principles I hold dear are gone, and so I must leave as well.
I depart after 37 years at CBS with one emotion—a heart brimming with gratitude for the men and women of CBS News who encouraged and enriched my work, very often at the risk of their own lives. I pray for a day when those people and their ideals are honored again—a day when sanity, competence, and courage return.

This is an embarrassment.
Nobody should ever be a federal district judge if no client has ever trusted that person to first-chair a trial. Nobody.
This is disqualifying. I don't care how smart you are, how nice a person you are, or what your politics are. If you've never tried a jury trial to verdict, you don't need to be a trial judge.

WATCH — @SenatorWarnock: “ICE has more funding than the Marines. And Republicans are saying ‘if you don’t give this overgrown paramilitary force of masked agents more money, we’re going to leave TSA workers unpaid.’” 🤔
DOJ says, "One set of rules for me, another thee!" Hard to see why it would be okay for Government lawyers to lie in court when the rest of the Bar plays by the rules. nytimes.com/2026/03/13/opini…

Hell, working families would actually be better off if Trump had done nothing at all — because his policies are setting back the middle class. Americans are seeing higher costs from tariffs, skyrocketing premiums, and record jobs losses thanks to him.

So the FBI has time to raid an elections office in Georgia in order to prop up Trump’s conspiracy theories about losing the 2020 election… but not to release the Epstein Files?

Local police routinely, put officers involved in deadly shootings on administrative leave until an independent investigation is concluded. That should happen immediately. I can’t recall ever hearing a police chief immediately describing the victim as a “domestic terrorist” or a “would-be assassin.”
For calm to be restored, an independent investigation is the least that should be done.

The tragedy and chaos the country is witnessing in Minneapolis is shocking. The killing yesterday of Alex Pretti, a U.S. citizen, by ICE agents should raise serious questions within the administration about the adequacy of immigration-enforcement training and the instructions officers are given on carrying out their mission. Lawfully carrying a firearm does not justify federal agents killing an American—especially, as video footage appears to show, after the victim had been disarmed.
A comprehensive, independent investigation of the shooting must be conducted in order to rebuild trust and Congressional committees need to hold hearings and do their oversight work. ICE agents do not have carte blanche in carrying out their duties.

They had him on the ground. Six agents pinned him down. They disarmed him. They removed his gun from its holster. And THEN they shot him. Ten times. To repeat. AFTER they pinned him to the ground, and AFTER they disarmed him, they shot him. Ten times.
They murdered him.

Immigration enforcement, my ass.
Bondi's letter below—essentially offering to stop attacking and murdering citizens in Minnesota in exchange for the state's voter rolls—shows what Trump, Miller et al. are really after:
They want to fuck with the nation's elections so that they never have to cede power and never have to answer for their crimes.
Trump needs to go. He needs to be impeached and removed. Now.
