But yeah, tl;dr, this account will be done for good after Halloween. Regardless of how long you've been following, you've helped give this account an incredible five-year run and I'm eternally grateful for that.
May we all get years of laughter from less than perfect shots.
Shameless self-plug, but if you want to follow my regular account elsewhere, I have fully moved to Blue Sky under this name. Even if you choose not to follow me there, I would still encourage you to migrate to the site. Way more inviting and less toxic than Twitter.
I have all of you to thank for not only keeping this account alive with your hundreds of submissions, but for sticking here as long as you have. If I don't get to your specific submission in the next 11 days, I apologize. Rest assured that at the very least, I did see it.
And hey, that's fine. People move on to other things, life goes on. I'm still super proud of the 100k followers I cultivated here, getting noticed by big-time Internet personalities and even the original One Perfect Shot themselves. It's been an incredibly fun run.
I still enjoy running this page, but I think it's fairly clear that it's long passed its peak at this point. With little exception, I bleed followers with every tweet I put out and I don't see that ending anytime soon.
The era of the gimmick account seems to be over, honestly.
