We'd like to take a moment to remember one of WISH-TV's very own. Steve Sweitzer died May 21, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. For more than three decades, Sweitzer led the station's photography team as chief photographer and news operations manager.

Or your weatherman wipes out doing a live hit but the photographer keeps right on swishing!!!

It’s been a busy week so far, mostly with @BBCSouthNews filming news, news and a bit more news.
So I got to wondering, if a Predator was to chase a TV news camera operator for 30 seconds or so, what would it see..?

She grew up covering up her #alopecia. Interestingly Lindsay Walter stopped #running when she started running marathons. Her pen pal program encourages kids to embrace who they are.

Hey @Lenslinger, can you relate? 5 minutes before live hit, 55 minutes before the street party starts, PA guy cranks up Earth, Wind, & Fire right behind me. I move across plaza as fast I can...start doing live hit, here comes leaf blower guy full blast! #whatfun #stillblessed

@Lenslinger Ah the joys of 65lbs of 70’s technology. When batteries, tapes, and photogs used to compete to see who ran out of energy first. Never mind a 600’ cable run for a live shot at 11pm just for presence.
