We are seeing more demand from small businesses across Canada and we expect the demand to continue into the fall. We’ll continue to be very diligent as there is still a lot of uncertainty around many sectors. We appreciate your support and patience over the past year+ 😊

Yesterday on @LendingLoop 3000 investors lent $500K to a large machine shop in Western Canada. We broke 2 Lending Loop records: 1. Fastest $500K funding time - 24 hours 2. Most investors that supported a single business- 3K Great to see this level of support for Canadian SMBs💪

Lockdown policies that force small businesses to close while allowing big box retailers to stay fully open make 0 sense economically and 0 sense for public health. There is no evidence that says otherwise - this is the end of the story. #onpoli #COVID19

Additionally, as a company, we've also put in place a temporary hardship program for business owners, that provides them with the ability to make interest-only payments on their loans for a period of 3 months to accommodate this unexpected event.

Hey @smithshawn, great question! We're encouraging everyone to continue to support their local businesses wherever possible. Whether that means ordering take out from your favourite restaurant or continuing to lend to businesses that require the capital. Every bit helps.
