The Lemondator validator has been successfully updated with the latest Ubuntu security patches (as of Aug 5, 2025).
🔒 Patch Summary:
• Kernel security fixes for privilege escalation vulnerabilities (CVE-2025-23341, CVE-2025-22987)
• OpenSSL patch addressing TLS session hijacking bug
• systemd update for improved sandboxing and reduced attack surface
• Updated libc6 with fixes to heap corruption bugs
• SSH security patch preventing brute-force bypass scenarios
• General package hardening (e.g., curl, sudo, gnupg)
✅ Validator remains in sync and fully operational.
Uptime & performance unaffected.
🛠System Update Notification
The Lemondator Validator VM has been successfully updated with the latest Ubuntu security patches as of June 2025.
This includes:
🔐 Kernel Vulnerability Fix (CVE-2025-0927)
• Resolved a critical heap overflow issue in the HFS+ file system.
🛡 Abseil Library Fix (CVE-2025-0838)
• Patched a memory handling flaw that could lead to denial of service.
