Trump says we’re building “more factories and plants right now than at any time in our history.”
Factory construction hit a historic record under Biden and has fallen 31% since Trump took office.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has the overwhelming support of the United States Congress, he has the overwhelming support of the American people, and he has the overwhelming support of the Ukrainian people. Russian illegally invaded Ukraine, a sovereign and freedom-loving nation, and Russia is squarely to blame for all damage and destruction, to both lives and treasure, that has resulted from Putin’s unprovoked attack.
@ZelenskyyUa, you know that the United States Congress, and the American people, stand 100% behind you. The Ukrainian people are so blessed to have you leading them in these difficult times. We have your back, and we will stand with you until Ukrainian victory is achieved. 🇺🇸 🇺🇦
He's right.
It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.

Trump yesterday:
We have the best economic numbers of any president in the history of our country. Yet people don't know about it.
BREAKING: The U.S. added just 29,000 jobs in September, far below the 90,000 expected.
Unemployment rose to 4.2% from 4.1%. Wage growth also slowed to 3% year-over-year, its lowest annual pace since May 2021.
And the previous numbers got worse too: August was revised down to 133,000 jobs, while July was revised from a gain of 21,000 to a loss of 10,000. Altogether, July and August were revised down by 60,000 jobs.

Sorry, one more thing on AI in schools: a recent Chinese study found that using AI in classrooms raised homework scores but LOWERED test scores. The kids aren't really learning if an LLM is doing the work. Get that shit out of the classroom until they're older, and teach them critical thinking skills.

President Trump gets a big laugh at the U.S. ambassador's residence as he explains why First Lady Melania Trump didn't join him in Ireland.
Trump says she told him the seven-hour flight was too long and jokes that he replied, "Put on a Make America Great Again hat and come on, let's go," before adding that she was watching from home and sends her regards.

Kevin Hassett on new unemployment data: “There was a big decline in government employment, which is partly because of DOGE and partly because there was so much snow over the winter that there were extra school days at the end of the year. And so the normal time when teachers would take the summer off was June, but a lot of them got pushed into July.”
