Funny how narratives change with price. When #ZEC was running from $25 to over $700, the story was all about privacy, adoption, institutions, and why it was headed much higher. Now that price has collapsed, everyone is talking about the recently discovered Orchard vulnerability and speculating that coins may have been created undetected for years. To be clear, the vulnerability was real. The speculation is whether it was ever exploited. What's interesting to me is that the chart was showing warning signs long before this narrative became popular: - Major HTF resistance - RSI divergence - Potential H&S structure - A 20X move that was overdue for profit taking I've said this for years: many times price moves first and the narrative follows. If Zcash had broken $700 and continued higher, people would likely be talking about how quickly the issue was patched and how strong the development team is. Instead, price fell and now everyone is focused on the worst-case scenario. The story changed. Human nature didn't.
