There are going to be so many House Republicans I’ve never heard of losing their seats in two weeks to Democrats I’ve never heard of. I’ll be a googling maniac on the Breaking Points set, pretending I totally tracked that race.

almost all intraparty opposition to abdul is driven by islamophobia

Vote blue no matter who was always for centrists. It meant vote for which we candidate they wanted and only those candidates. If it’s a progressive, then they don’t have to do the same thing they yell at us to do.
And the centrists have shown themselves to be hypocrites.

For every selfish rich Jewish asshole in the Detroit suburbs we'll gain four working class voters.

Crazy how many Democrats ripped off the mask and went from “Blue No Matter Who” to “Blue Unless Brown”

I can confirm this from family in Texas that went to early vote @jamestalarico @TeamTalaricoHQ . People are voting and when they’re finished some of their votes are changing on their own. Most don’t even know it. I think this is something to look into.
Dear @AnnieAndrewsMD: I just voted for you, but when I went to check the ballot, your name had been switched with the libertarian candidate. I don’t think it was user error, but I can’t prove it. I was able to go back and change it after that. But keep an ear out, because if other people are having a similar experience, it’s not an accident.

I didn't know anything about Amy Acton's childhood before today.
Now I would run through a brick wall for her.

I hold my nose and vote for Dems I’m not crazy about pretty regularly bc they’re still better than the alternative. Now all of a sudden a bunch of ostensibly vote blue no matter who Dems can’t bother doing it during a crucial midterm? Weak.

The ADL refusing to name Trump here speaks for itself.
Just a deeply unserious organization that has drifted far away from its stated mission, and one that has lost all credibility.
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The term was used (for at least the second intent in as many years) by President Trump.

Important context to point out the user of the term regardless of intent.

At a certain point we have to just be honest and say that if you are a single-issue pro-genocide voter (to the extent you will even sacrifice American democracy itself towards that end!), you do belong in the GOP. This is just rational sorting, and unavoidable ultimately.

They’re voting for a guy whose party leader said ‘Shylock’ yesterday and whose candidate’s pastor ally hosted a Nazi-saluting, Talmud-burning extremist.
Good job unnamed ‘lifelong Jewish Democrats in Detroit suburbs’ 👏🏽👏🏽
