@Mariners I've observed a lot of baseball in 40 years, in person, radio, the early days on MLBTV. For a few glorious outs during today's broadcast, the fixed camera showing the whole field was incredible. No frenetic cuts, just a genuine feeling like being at the ballpark.

@MLBTV @MLB should do what they can to offer viewers a choice to use a fixed whole field video stream for all games! It was so cool to see things TV rarely captures, like the fielders subtly shifting, players backing up, the speed of line drives, all the things TV cuts erode.

Packing up, moving out in the morning. Off to Sydney for a summer study abroad law school course. Hurts a TON to leave my family behind for a couple weeks. When class is over, they're flying out to join me to visit Perth then Christchurch before we all come home.
