AS FEARED: "The world’s clouds are changing. They are covering less overall area and are dimming, with the effect that they reflect less solar radiation back into space. This increase in solar absorption is a major cause of the accelerating warming we are now experiencing."
Great piece by Tom Harris on cloud feedback The world's cloud cover is reducing, which makes the planet hotter This may be why Miocene Climatic Optimum temperatures were 7 - 8C up on pre-industrial for CO2 levels of just 400 - 600ppm Very, very, scary substack.com/home/post/p-220…

The UK is only in debt because it Privatised everything. If Margaret Thatcher had never existed and we never privatised Oil, Gas, Electricity, Airports, Water, Mail, Rail, Rolls Royce, British Airways... We would have Trillions of Pounds and own everything, just like Norway.

The Reform Party would never ever lie to a veteran about anything. Unlike those horrible reporters at ITV
🚨 BREAKING: Reform UK has reported ITV and its reporters to the police after going undercover in the party for a year "They forged a passport. They directly interfered in elections and almost certainly results. They lied to a veteran"

Listening to the @SkyNews paper review as they talk about finding "a balance between the climate and the economy". That's ok. As long as the economy is doing well, it won't matter if people can't breathe clean air or drink clean water. Those who have enough money will be able to buy their own air and water.

Been teaching for 18 years. I have seen, heard, & heard of, instances of sexism, homophobia, & racism against PoC at work. But I have never seen, heard, or even heard about a single instance of antisemitism. In 18 years. This is now industrial strength gas lighting. Madness.

These days, barely a week goes by in Europe without a drone sighting, a fire or a power outage being blamed on Russia. We’re told that these incidents are all part of a relentless, and escalating, “hybrid war” that Moscow is waging against the continent. But does the evidence support Western claims that Russia is engaged in a systematic hybrid war against Europe? As I argue in my first piece for @RStatecraft, not really. Most claims of Russian involvement turned out to be establishment-amplified speculation that collapsed under basic scrutiny. In many cases, there is no evidence the incidents themselves actually even happened (drones supposedly swarming European airports, etc.). So is this just a case of collective panic fuelled by click-addicted media? Or, given that the claims of a Russian “hybrid war” against Europe appear to rest on little more than propaganda, is there a concerted effort by the EU-NATO establishment to condition citizens to believe that Europe is under attack from Russia? In Italy, the expression “strategy of tension” evokes a dark period, from the late 60s to the early 80s, in which intelligence services and secret paramilitary networks operating under NATO auspices inflated the terrorist threat to frighten the electorate, including by engaging in terrorist acts that in some cases were then blamed on the left. European leaders should be wary of reviving such a strategy. Read the article here: responsiblestatecraft.org/hy…

🛑 “Not one of the 16 children who were killed on that day can be confidently called a deliberate killing by Hamas. The one case where someone knowingly fired on a child was done by Israel.“ Israeli researcher Shaiel Ben-Ephraim examines each of the 16 cases in the new short documentary below. ⬇️
Israel has long claimed that Hamas went around slaughtering children on October 7th. Yet even the Israeli records and the camera footage it released show this is not true. 16 children under 14 were killed on October 7. I went through every one of them, case by case. There is not a single case of a child targeted and executed intentionally by Hamas. But that false narrative has been used to justify the slaughter over 20,000 Palestinian children in Gaza. Watch the full analysis.

Al Jazeera's undercover film on Turning Point UK went out this week. Before anyone runs with it, here's what's on the record and what isn't. What Al Jazeera alleges: its undercover reporter filmed TPUK's Jack Ross, who it calls the CEO, discussing arranging violence for money with a man from Glasgow. It also alleges Ross paid for a staged rally in Glasgow in 2021 to push for lifting UK sanctions on Zimbabwe. Al Jazeera says it passed its concerns about the man to Scottish police. What Ross says: he denies the findings "completely" and says nothing he said was meant seriously. That is Al Jazeera's account of his reply. I can't find a statement from Ross or TPUK themselves. What the record shows so far: nobody is reported charged over the film's allegations. Police Scotland says the film "will be reviewed and assessed for any criminality." The claims about the Glasgow man's convictions and paramilitary links rest on Al Jazeera's reporting and on what he says himself on tape. I can't find independent court reports. Al Jazeera isn't consistent about who was behind the rally. Its press release says Ross acted "on behalf of the Zimbabwe government." The film says "the Zimbabwe delegation" asked him. The article says nothing about who commissioned it. Those are three different claims, and only the film shows people and a cash handover. The sanctions backdrop is real. The UK added four Zimbabwean individuals to its asset-freeze list in February 2021, and delisted them in May 2025. That fits the timing, but it doesn't prove anything about the rally. This isn't the first time the Zimbabwe link has been reported. Byline Times wrote in March 2023 that Ross and others were photographed in late 2021 with a group called British Friends of Zimbabwe, and that a TPUK figure posted a video from the Zimbabwe Embassy in London. TPUK told Byline it had "no official relationship" with the ambassador involved. Byline also said it couldn't find the group anywhere outside social media. What I've checked myself: Ross stood as the Conservative candidate in Horndean Murray, East Hampshire, in May 2023. It's on the nomination paper. Priti Patel and Steve Baker posted support for TPUK when it launched in February 2019. Marco Longhi posted in November 2022 that he was delighted to become its President. I can't confirm whether he still holds the role. Nigel Farage promoted TPUK from his own account in 2019 and 2023. Al Jazeera says leaders of Reform UK have endorsed TPUK. I can't find the source for that. Tice and Yusuf have reposted TPUK posts, and I haven't found more than that. Separately, and not part of the film: Byline Times reported in May 2026 that Ross received a conditional discharge in April for assault by beating, over an incident at a church in Aldershot. These are allegations, not findings. I'll update as responses come in.

It's interesting how antisemitism is a crisis, but racism towards everyone who isn't white is at record levels and that isn't a crisis. If fact they let people go on the TV all day every day to stoke it.

🚨 CONTEXT: 95% of Black British pupils have experienced racism at school, according to a @ymca report in October 2020. 6 years later, no action has been taken on this. In comparison, the government accepted all 27 recommendations of David Bell's antisemitism study after 1 day.

I used to volunteer as a reading helper at a school in London. I saw Ukraine flags there. This policy has only come about because of one particular geopolitical event. People are smart enough to see through this stuff now.
Schools are not a place for "making protests and statements about geopolitical events", says the education secretary. Lucy Powell has announced strengthened guidance on political impartiality after a review revealed the scale of antisemitism in English schools.

Let's hear a mainstream journalist attempt to defend this. Not only is the British media biased and broken, there is data to prove it.
The past 20 days have marked one of the most monolithic pushes by British media to vilify the Zionism is Racism Green Party motion. Imbalanced coverage would be an understatement. The papers wrote 447 articles on the Greens' Zionism vote. Israel, pro-Israel groups and the Chief Rabbi got 12,133 words. Palestinians got 3,173. Any institution that parades as a "news outlet" can no longer be taken seriously if it covers this motion without also covering the people, Palestinians, who have endured, suffered and been oppressed the most by the ideology in action. What the figures show: • Israel's government alone got 3,904 words. More than every Palestinian put together. • 2,422 of the 3,173 Palestinian words came in stories tying Lubna Speitan, the Palestinian who proposed the motion, to al-Qaeda. • Apart from Lubna, two Palestinians were quoted across 436 articles, for 76 words between them. Nobody in Gaza, the occupied West Bank or Lebanon was quoted at all. • Lubna told the Telegraph that 56 members of her family had been killed in Gaza. One article mentioned it: the Telegraph's own al-Qaeda story, in paragraph 44 of 51. • Lubna has received death and rape threats since the vote. Al Jazeera reported it. None of the 447 British articles did. • 43 articles said, in the paper's own voice, that the motion meant the destruction or abolition of Israel. The motion calls for one state with "equal rights for all". • 36 headlines said antisemitism. Not one of 447 said genocide. • 304 of the 436 articles we read in full never mentioned the genocide at all. • 0 of 89 comment pieces backed the motion. • The Daily Mail ran 38 articles on the motion, and in that time, just 2 on Israel's ongoing attacks across Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. I wonder if they'd have had the balls to do this without the Zionism is Racism motion opening the door to stronger rebuttals of enforced complicity in Israel's genocide of the Palestinians.
Very important. The National Education Union effectively rejects the key recommendations of the new Independent Antisemitism Review, rejecting the IHRA Definition and suggesting current approaches create a hierarchy of racism. Directly says the report "will not tackle antisemitism." This review looks like yet another Labour Together Project disgrace - the long tail of McSweeney-Starmerism - that will likely inflame rather than reduce tensions in schools. Exasperating, infuriating stuff. Imagine telling teachers - teachers! In it for the kids! - that they can't talk about or show opposition Israel's genocide against Palestinian children. Here's what NEU's Daniel Kebede says: "However, recommending the IHRA definition for schools risks deepening the problem rather than tackling it, and actively undermining efforts to confront antisemitism. It is the wrong approach. The IHRA’s contested framing risks blurring the line between antisemitism and legitimate criticism of the Israeli government and the genocide in Gaza, leaving teachers with uncertainty when they need clarity. A young person’s opposition to the Gaza genocide and scrutiny of the Israeli government are not, in themselves, antisemitic. Young people must have the space to understand and discuss world events. Schools must enable young people to confront difficult issues openly and develop empathy, not drive teachers into silence or leave pupils afraid to express their views. Recommending the IHRA definition risks tightening the chilling grip already stifling classroom discussion of the Gaza genocide. Schools need practical support to confront antisemitism, not a contested framework that risks shutting down legitimate discussion. The very real risk is that children who cannot critically explore issues through classroom discussion will instead seek their answers in online and unsafe groups. “This report will not tackle antisemitism. It wrongly calls into question the professionalism of teachers. The existing rules on impartiality in the classroom are very clear and teachers take that responsibility very seriously. For three years, teachers have been responding to concerned pupils’ questions about this conflict. These classroom discussions are familiar territory, not uncharted ground. In that time there have been vanishingly few examples of the Teacher Regulation Agency holding up a complaint of lack of impartiality in the classroom. "The NEU welcomes a strengthened focus on antisemitism in the statutory safeguarding guidance and we would encourage the Department for Education to go a step further by strengthening the guidance on all forms of racism. We are concerned that addressing antisemitism without an equally clear commitment to tackling all forms of racism risks creating a hierarchy of racism. No form of racism should be minimised, and no pupil or member of staff should receive less protection. Similarly, the NEU welcomes training for staff on recognising and challenging antisemitism, but we would like to see this in the context of wider antiracism training. The lack of training and time for staff development is a real barrier and almost two thirds of teachers (65 per cent) report that they have not received any antiracism training of any kind within the past year."

There is always the question of why people are losing patience with the old politics around the world.
In the United States, in Europe, in Latin America, no one can stand the maintainers of the status quo anymore.
And in Europe, the problem is hidden in cowardice. German Chancellor Merz recently said: “My biggest concern right now is not our economy, not the European Union, not America, not China.
My biggest concern is the impact of Russia on our society and how they are managing to destabilize our societies.” This is the greatest synthesis of what I have been saying for a long time. Europe has clung to the excuse of a Russian threat so it does not have to discuss what really matters.
Every month some European intelligence service claims that the Russians are planning an invasion.
Instead of carrying out the reforms society actually wants, they perpetuate insecurity and fear. Fortunately, few people in Europe believe this narrative. Where is the German leader’s speech about a major plan to make energy cheaper and bring companies back? There is none.
Where is the speech on replacing Russian gas cheaply? There is none.
Where is the speech about building new relationships with the supply chains that Europe has lacked, and lacked badly? There is none. Where and when will this European cowardice give way to serious and independent policies? And this does not apply only to German leadership. I could give several other examples. When there is no Russian invasion planned for next week, they talk about Chinese sabotage. It is never them, always the others. Let us hope the new European generations are able to take back the reins and build a future with seriousness.
