Looking forward to getting more specifics about the highlighted part in particular, unless I missed something on one of the forum posts :) Most people discussing this are only mentioning the Validator part. Validators and Nominators getting paid in dotUSD instead of DOT… soon?

dotUSD is now available in Nova Wallet! 🔁 Send, receive, and swap dotUSD using Nova Wallet! dotUSD is Polkadot's native decentralized stablecoin. Download Nova Wallet! novawallet.io/
dotUSD is live on Polkadot. Today a handful of companies issue and control most of the world's stablecoins worth more than $250B. Like banks, they decide who can hold them and who can’t. dotUSD is based on a different premise. It has no issuing company and no single point of control. The DOT DAO governs it through OpenGov. Polkadot now has a stablecoin that belongs to its network.

In August, we set out some of our plans to improve the user experience within Nova Wallet, especially for newcomers. Our latest Medium article goes over what we have implemented so far and the reasons for doing so. novawalletapp.medium.com/upd…

Not renewing your parachain's core on Polkadot can be an expensive mistake, relatively speaking. Cores have been quite cheap. Currently, the floor/fixed price is 10 DOT. However, if you forget to renew your core, it can be costly. coretime.app/

In order to keep block production going on the Mythos parachain, on-demand orders for block inclusion must now be placed. This is a little bit more expensive than renewing the core. You can see the amount of DOT that has been used to keep the parachain producing blocks here: polkadot.subscan.io/account/… It's something along the lines of 700 DOT in 13 days. It could be a lot less expensive to use on-demand coretime, but in this case the Mythos parachain is purchasing on-demand coretime roughly once per minute.

It's very easy to renew your parachain cores using coretime.app/ by @N4DRO Simply: 1. Open coretime.app and connect your wallet 2. Go to the "cores" section and select "Show only exiting chains (no future cores)" 3. Hit the renew button

⚠️ September's Polkadot validator retainment stats are live. Average retainment edged up from 20.3% in August to 22.0% in September. That's a 1.7 percentage-point improvement. Still, nearly three quarters of validators with a reported rate were at 0%: 488 out of 674. Average compounding was just 6.3%. pos[.]dog, P2P[.]ORG, Zug Capital and EXNESS were all at 0% for September. They were the four largest named reward earners in that 0% group. On the wallet side, Novasama (Nova Wallet) was at 1.9%, SubWallet at 71.9%, and Talisman at 100%. Iceberg Nodes and ParaNodes also came in at 100%. Retainment measures how much of an operator's DOT rewards is reflected in balance growth across its identity graph. Validators can make their retained DOT visible by linking their validator and treasury accounts under the same on-chain identity. You can compare the operators yourself on Polkadot Cloud. If you want actual information regarding Novsama/Nova Wallet's Validator stats, you should read the following tweet, and not some unchecked AI slop. xitter.cf/LeemoXD/status/2100925…
All staking rewards that Novasama earns from Validators are collected here: assethub-polkadot.subscan.io… This account doesn't have an on-chain ID – which I believe may be whats causing your metrics to be incorrect :) In May, this account did have some outgoings... to our own validators to top up their self-stake. assethub-polkadot.subscan.io… assethub-polkadot.subscan.io… There's also a 503 DOT transfer to "svojs", which was then sent back. assethub-polkadot.subscan.io… assethub-polkadot.subscan.io… A quick search of the novasamatech org on GitHub shows that this person is part of the team :) ----- This month, we topped up our Validators to move them all to >30k DOT self-staked. 2 of 3 wallets on polkadot.com/ecosystem have low 3-month $DOT retention: Nova: 12.9% (6 validators) SubWallet: 6.1% (1 validator) Why should official Polkadot channels direct users to wallet operators retaining so little $DOT? Where is the requirement for long-term alignment? Introduce a transparent minimum retention rate for featured wallets running validators. Publish the figures and remove featured placement while they fall below that threshold. If you benefit from Polkadot’s official promotion, retaining a meaningful share of the $DOT you earn should be a basic expectation. Validator retainment figures can be viewed directly on validators.polkadot.cloud. #Polkadot

While I don't necessarily agree with this QT, it raises one point fairly well. "They have bills and people to pay" If, in the future, we did decide to sell staking rewards - let's say when they're in dotUSD – is that a problem for you, Ross? xitter.cf/GregusJakub/status/210…
Shaming last operating companies (esp. of such importance as wallets) for scrambling for every penny? You didn’t notice complete collapse of DOT price and extinction of ecosystem where they operate? You didn’t notice there are very few projects, builders and users left and the rest is just gone? What are they suppose to do to stay afloat if its not them who made this clusterfuck? Why they should hold asset which is except of few days in month down only whole year? They have bills and people to pay. They didn’t get this asset for free as 2 orgs with hundreds of employees which they could dump for years to cash out from it hundreds of millions, every year. They were not complicating life of other builders with never ending breaking changes of everything which cost all other projects and themselves insane amount of resources - time and ultimately money to fix them instead of working on products for people. They were not pissing off and ghosting VCs, institutional investors, whales, or just retail investors. Thx to these teams you just shamed, they could at least use their asset somehow else than via p.js. Even if your data “is right” its out of touch. Its like shaming someone with low wage that he is not saving for retirement in stocks. Or buying food in Walmart instead of Whole Foods.

I understand why you made this tweet. Most likely, you got some data from a tool you made and didn't double-check it – I get that; it's easily done. However, it is pretty funny not to take a cursory glance to make sure it's correct before posting the tweet. Good luck getting users and nominations – it's a bit funny if this is the way you are going about it, though, by basically generating unsubstantiated FUD :)

I think people get confused as to what "Asset Conversion" is and mistakenly try to draw comparisons to EVM-Land DEXs. Asset Conversion is the assetConversion pallet. It exists in the Polkadot Asset Hub runtime. You can permissionlessly create pools for token pairs using assetConversion CreatePool. You can permissionlessly add liquidity using assetConversion addLiquidity. The things that people call "DEXs" in this case (on Polkadot Asset Hub) are (currently) just front end UIs. They simply tap into these pools. It doesn't matter if it's KheopsSwap, Nova Wallet, or Hello_Kitty_Swap_420. So don't ask what DEX the liquidity is on, as any "DEX" can just tap into these pools. With regard to "where is the swap activity coming from" - you also won't know, unless the particular front end you are using adds some systemRemark or something along with your token swap :) You probably can make some web app for these swaps in about 10 minutes with your favourite AI btw.
Asset Conversion activity on Polkadot Asset Hub is getting easier to follow. Subscan has added DEX analytics for tracking swaps, exploring pools, checking liquidity and following token prices in one place. Useful if you’re building with Asset Conversion, or just want to see what’s happening across its pools.
