I received a message from someone insisting that a Johnson 124-311 did not fit a 8121 transmitting tube. Looks like a fit here.
I have to love it that @Staypineapple sent me an email about their new hotel in NYC. I need a hotel in NY like a fish needs a bicycle #BornInNYC #LifeLongNYer BTW 337 West 36th Street is a pretty crappy neighborhood.
.@ebay is doing its usual fine, efficient job of returning phone calls. The automated system told me I'd get called back in 31 - 44 minutes. It's been one hour twenty minutes #CustomerServiceFail #IdiotsAtTheWheel
.@TheRoyalButler Multiple rings are acceptable as long as one of them is in the shape of a piano.
The most dangerous drivers in the Bronx are not unlicensed drivers but menaces like this @NYCTBus driver. Failure to yield S.B on Walnut, RT turn onto E 134th Street, 7/27/2018, 2:59 pm. Note: In the 1st pic I am already on my way across the street, Bus #7785 plate AT8610
.@ebay. Talked to one totally inept individual and now I m on hold again. She said it would be a minute or two and we're already up to 5 minutes
Chatham 2399 vacuum tube under test this morning. A 2399 is essentially a 5998 which is the same thing as a Western Electric 421A. Have to love it when people discuss sonic differences between tubes that are actually the same just having different labels.
Ancient RCA USN CRC 874 voltage regulator. Technically not a vacuum tube as is filled with low pressure inert gas. This one is gorgeous. The gettering covers ever inch of the envelope so it's a mirror.
The splendid, sophisticated, simplicity of the 103rd Street Bridge. An Elegant arc over the Harlem River completed in 1952. I never thought in a million years that I'd walk her. My life has been led by outside forces. Absolutely gorgeous. #NewYorkNewYorkAHelluvahTownTheBronxIsUp
Ground Hogs Day @NYCTSubway 138th & Cypress. They just fixed this last week. The miscreants along 138th have been very busy.
Is there anything more satisfying than needing a part for something and then finding it five minutes later on something you're about to throw out? #CableClamp
With @Nikon it's so easy you can even open NEF's just by clicking them in Windows. And if you want to fool around with them a little ViewNX2 works beautifully.
