I made a scale model of a multiplane animation camera rostrum; a piece of equipment used in the creation of stop frame animation (based on a design by @cloudyflemmo and myself for @borbonesa). #animation #stopframeanimation #animationpal
My submission for International artists’ book exhibition ‘Love and Music’ is titled Гобеле́н (Tapestry). I punched six hundred and sixty-two 2mm holes into a 13 foot long paper strip, and accordion-folded it into a 120-page book...
Using a 1:16 scale version of The Bayeux Tapestry as a guide, the exact head position of each of the 626 human figures (embroidered into the original tapestry) were marked onto the paper strip, and punched out as 2mm holes...
When the pages are removed from the hardcovers they can be fed and wound through a 15-note mechanical music box, sounding notes across two octaves. Many thanks to @JackieBatey for the details of the exhibition. #miniature #artistsbook #pompeyillustration #bayeuxtapestry #musicbox
