It's very cold....but a reminder to keep your chimney/wood burner clean after attending seven fires already this week! Most chimney fires are preventable. Regular inspection and cleaning of flues will help prevent fires within chimneys. #chimneys #woodburners #firesafety

We are currently in attendance at a fire on Fradley Junction in Alrewas. A log burner was well alight and needed removing from the property. Crews have been at the scene and while the log burner has now been removed they remain at the property currently clearing the chimney.

The fire service have been out to a couple recently, one where a couple lost the whole houseboat and another had alarms/detectors going off. These type of stoves below have to heat up more than the new ecodesign stoves before theyre generating enough heat to warm the room. – at Kidderminster, England
Under the current climate there's more people working from aswell as staying at home longer, so appliances are being used more than previous years.Having it swept only once a year right now maybe not enough so please think about the efficiency aswell as the safety side of things. – at Kidderminster, England
