A very interesting 'back-building' thunderstorm developed to the west of Jersey today, which essentially stayed offshore in exactly the same place for around 3 hours or so before dissipating. This was due to the reversal of wind direction between the cloud base and cloud tops.

A lovely visit to the British Normandy Memorial today. The Standing with Giants installation is amazing. It would be lovely to see something in Guernsey next year

Yorkshires done, bread sauce marinating, last minute Christmas pudding under way, gravy too. Just leaves chocolate fondants and Christmas prep is complete. Then tractor run viewing and snowball!

One month ago a table for 12 was booked for our annual pizza extravaganza. This morning a phone call received cancelling our booking, because full. No apologies, no offer of a table at another branch of the empire. Merry Christmas R. Very annoying
