At Monday’s City Council meeting, LFD swore in & announced four new roles within the department: Kristopher Perry -> Division Chief of Training and Safety. Sam Kornicks -> Lieutenant. Mark Brown -> Fire Marshal Mike Francis -> Inspector

Upcoming Road Closure: W250 N / Anderson Road (east, near Home National Bank) will be closed on September 8th and 9th on the west side of SR39. This is for utility work. Please follow the detour signs posted.

This afternoon’s storm packed a wallop. The strong winds did a number on many of our trees throughout town. We appreciate teams from City of Lebanon Department of Public Works and Lebanon Utilities working to clear roads and debris.

Demo work has begun at the former Street Department along Lafayette Avenue. Future plans for this site include the addition of a park on the west side of our community.

Lebanon Schools will utilize a school cancellation day on Wednesday, January 28, due to inclement weather.

Attention: Lebanon Utilities is working a water main break along Elizaville Road. Due to the snow and road conditions they will be closing a lane and using flaggers to complete the work.

Weather Alert: The travel status in Boone County is back to Yellow. Routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid these areas.

As expected, due to the recent storm, @WasteManagement is experiencing a one-day delay in trash and recycling removal. Please plan accordingly.

As of 1pm today, the travel status in Boone County is back to Orange. Only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended.

Due to current conditions, all City of Lebanon offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th. This closure pertains to all non-emergency or snow response personnel. Since Boone County is currently under a red travel advisory, stay off roadways, unless absolutely necessary.

Due to extreme weather conditions, road safety concerns, and the dangerously cold temperatures, we will not be running service on Monday. We will move to a one-day delay schedule for the week, with service running Tuesday through Saturday.
