Perhaps sometimes we are not aware that our #gaze can say a lot more than we sometimes consider. How do our students feel when they are looked at by us? Do they feel afraid, supervised, rejected? Do they feel valued, welcomed, respected, loved?
Let's take a moment to #reflect on the way we look at them and #rethink our way of looking, in such a way that we #communicate to them that we believe in them and value their #gifts and #talents, seeing them as what they are capable of becoming.
#Stress is present at different times in our lives, whether it‘s during a work day, in a family situation or preparing for an exam. Stress is something that we cannot eliminate, but we can learn to manage it so that it does not negatively impact our health.
Inspired by a publication by Nawal Mustafa, Paige Tutt shares 6 key questions that we can ask ourselves as #EdLeaders, #teachers, and #students to better reflect on and handle situations that generate stress.
Are you an #EdLeader? We invite you to participate at #DirectIn2022 organized by @EdnovaeInfo where @margarita_psr will share this Friday 05 at 11:40 hr (CDMX) on #ContinuousImprovement in education from a #SystemicApproach
See you there!

If we want our students to learn differently, as #EdLeaders we need to encourage our teachers to also learn differently; let's get out of traditional training and integrate active methodologies and new strategies and tools in the continuous training of each of our teachers.
#Teachers and #EdLeaders should be reflecting upon what of the #EducationProcess should remain, what should be adjusted, and what should be eliminated.
We should stop talking about #SoftSkills and start promoting #PowerDispositions. 🧵👇🏽
- Having a skill does not necessarily imply recognizing the situations that demand it, nor the willingness to apply it, having a disposition does. We should not stop in the development of skills but aim to develop the disposition to use them.
- "Soft" may lead to minimizing them. As #PowerSkills we should consider
#BasicSkills: #mathliteracy, #digitalcompetence, etc.
#ThinkingSkills: #curiosity, #criticalthinking, etc.
#PersonalSkills: #motivation, #selfefficacy, etc.
#SocialSkills: #empathy, #collaboration, etc.
Let us promote spaces to share and enrich ourselves with the contributions of others, let us look for people who #inspire us and help us grow every day,
let us share with others what has worked for us, and ask for advice on what is difficult for us, let us try to relate more, be open to meeting with one another and building a #community.
Are you #wrapping a #schoolyear or preparing for the next? Life as a #teacher and #SchoolLeader many times implies running against the clock, resulting in working #beyondschedule, in the afternoons, weekends, and even #vacations. 🧵👇🏽
- Assemble messages of support, acknowledgment, congratulations, etc.; they'll be a source of energy when you feel depleted or down.
- Identify objects and activities that constantly annoy and irritate you, and find a way to solve them to end those energy leaks.
If you want to know more about the power of #feedback in the learning process, we invite you to read our new blog post, where you will also find a proposal by John Hattie and Helen Timperley to implement feedback effectively.

Let's spend time connecting with each of our #students, let's talk with them, listen to them and discover what they like, what excites them, and what they dream of. Let's see the great potential behind each student and show them that we believe in them.
#EdLeaders, let's do the same with our #teachers.
