Time to rejoin Twitter after a bit of a break. Thought I’d better update my profile picture to actually look a bit like me while I was at it!
Busy end to the week covering holiday on the team. Reflecting on this it’s amazing how much you can learn from taking on other peoples projects - even temporarily. People do things in different ways and often you can find more effective routes to the same goal. #todayilearned
It’s exactly 3 years since I started working at @leolearning and it's genuinely flown by!
As the ever-changing #LearningAndDevelopment landscape continues to evolve and grow it’s amazing to be working with an organisation that’s truly at the forefront of innovation in learning.
And with the recent @gpcorp acquisition we’re able to help even more people, in more places, learn new things that enable them to do their jobs better. The future of #digitallearning is very exciting.
Shoutout to @SophieLearning whose genuine love for all things LEO really got me excited 3 years ago to join the business. Looking forward to seeing what the next 3 years and beyond brings...

#TodayILearned about #distancelearning in the 1840s. Isaac Pitman taught people shorthand by post. He sent texts in shorthand to students and they sent transcribed versions back to get feedback. Simple & ingenious!
I wonder what Pitman would have made of #distancelearning today?

Video platforms turbo-charge your training capabilities and generate data about what learners are watching. But how can you get that data and use it to inform your video content strategy? @MrDownes explores the data you can expect from your platform and what to ask your vendor.

Scientists have taught spinach to send emails (because everyone needs more email) and all I can think of is the poor spinach wondering whether to write Regards, Best Regards, or Warmest Regards at the end...
This spinach emails are a real thing by the way! euronews.com/living/amp/2021…
This weekend my son turned 9 and we hosted a virtual birthday party on zoom with 20 kids... but did I learn anything relevant to #training by doing it?
