It has been such a pleasure to see this journey through with a few students I’ve had the joy of watching evolve since 9th grade. So much love for our Red Devils turned Phoenix, and all who supported them in their journey to this great accomplishment! 😈🐦🔥

What a proud day to be an Olympian! 🥹 So many seniors were awarded with scholarships and certificates, celebrating their achievements and hard work from the year. Thank you families and students for showing up and celebrating in community. So much love to go around. 🎉🎊
We had the honor of presenting at the Napa Valley Wellness Conference about the alternative learning pathways that are having a positive impact on alternative education students. It was an honor to showcase the amazing things happening for students at @OlyMDUSD🐦🔥
Proud of the community that’s been built here 🩷🩵💚❤️💛🧡💙💜
💅🏼 Fashionable minds think alike! The rain is not dampening the end to a strong week at @OlyMDUSD ! Who says hard work can’t also be done in style? 📚

Day 1 at the ACSA Conference in beautiful San Diego, and I’m already feeling inspired! Learning alongside incredible leaders and educators who are shaping the future of schools. The energy, innovation, and collaboration here are unmatched. 🌟
Waited all week to break out our fall fits! It’s so much fun having coworkers who also love to celebrate the seasons. 🍂 Sweater weather is better together! 🧡
🔥HOME OF THE PHOENIX! 🔥
On September 11, 2024, the @MtDiabloUSD board officially approved the adoption of the PHOENIX as Olympic’s first official mascot! The Phoenix represents the resilience, tenacity, and ability to rise up amid the ashes and take hold of a second chance. Together, we rise! 🐦🔥🩵
Thank you @dansimonreports for the opportunity to share the amazing things happening for young people at @OlyMDUSD
Public high schools are increasingly banning smartphones. Thanks to @OlyMDUSD and @LearninWithLyon for welcoming me to campus to feature how they've incorporated #yondrpouches on their campus for @MeritStreet.
They never say quit, and it shows!

MDUSD is pleased to announce the appointment of Crystal Ochoa as the Student Board Member for 2024-25, when she will be a senior @OlyMDUSD in Concord. Crystal has held several leadership positions & has been involved in many extracurricular & community activities. Congratulations
Could not be more proud of this young person who owned her story and took control of the outcome. This work matters, and days like these remind you why. A true celebration of all of the heart, hard work, and empowerment that happens at @OlyMDUSD 🩶🩵🖤 Congrats, Crystal!!!

What do you get when you mix history & art? A history of tie dying unit! Students learned how to make natural dyes and were relieved that they wouldn’t be using insects or invertebrates like ancient civilizations did to create colored textiles. We 🖤🩵🩶 this hands on learning!
Proud of the intentional inclusive curriculum and instruction work at @OlyMDUSD to create meaningful learning experiences for Olympic students 🩶🩵🖤

🎉 The cherry on top of an already sweet Friday is celebrating the successes of Armando, Kaleiah, Brisa, Felipe, and the 16 other graduates during term 7! These young scholars have remained focused on their goals and are leaving Olympic as high school GRADUATES! 🥳

The Oly team is having a blast at @CCEAeducation conference which puts a spotlight on alternative education. The learning that is taking place all with alt. ed students at the center has been profound, and we can’t wait to start implementing plenty of new ideas! 🖤🩵
