Better late than never @birchclassHFS ...photos from our school trip to the Dark Plantation on the last day of last half term. Thanks to Cathry from @NorthWildlife for showing us around and organising so many fun activities for us to do.
Today in @birchclassHFS we went outside for our Maths lesson to begin our topic on shape. We went in groups on a shape hunt, looked at making triangles, sorting shapes and making repeating patterns.
Great stuff Squirrels! A great use of the pod space outside on #Outdoorclassroomday

There's pizza and cake on the menu in the mud kitchen and we're trying hard to light the stove in the loose parts area!

This half term in science we have been investigating the right conditions needed for seeds to germinate. Look at our amazing bean plants… Jack would be proud! 🌱🐄

We had a great science lesson looking at the properties of materials. We tested to see if things were bendy or not bendy and transparent or opaque.

An excellent day was had all round yesterday! The squeals of happy children playing and laughing filled the park and it was a joy to watch them play and create with so many #looseparts!

We went outside during Science yesterday to spot signs of spring. We heard birdsong, saw tulips and noticed that it was warmer than when we went out in winter (only just!)
