I can answer this, although I can’t go into too much detail because of contracts. Basically, the English host was a last minute addition, which is why the event didn’t end up being included in The Block. Since The Block’s audience is mainly English speaking, the concern was that playing a Portuguese only video would leave a lot of players unable to understand what was happening. They didn’t want new players’ first experience to be an event they couldn’t follow, making them assume future events would be the same and putting them off coming back. If the English host had been confirmed earlier in production, we would have had the event in The Block.
