Malaysia wants to become a regional hub for AI & data centres. A data centre can use up to 25.5 million tonnes of water annually. This amount can support 300,000 people every single day. Nothing can replace our freshwater ecosystems once they are destroyed & drained.

Yesterday I was EVICTED from a public park by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) during a signature collection session for my Dilarang Ponteng Parlimen parliamentary petition. He said saying ‘DILARANG PONTENG’ in public space isn’t allowed, coz that makes it a protest 1/2

Episode 5 of DILARANG PONTENG PARLIMEN - The geng gets evicted by DBKL! Apparently collecting parliamentary petition signatures is a protest?! 😱 Also heads up, there are horses at the end of this vid

While filming a movie in 2014, Jackie Chan sang "Rolling in the Deep" with a group of Mongolian locals after finding out that they knew the song by heart, even though they don’t speak English 😁 It was never part of the movie script.

The numbers are deeply concerning: 3 cases of Stage 4 cancer and 4 thyroid cases. When workers tried to raise the alarm, they weren't met with support. They were met with scolding and denial from the very people meant to protect them.

It expresses "serious doubts" about the integrity of the MOH Medical Radiation Control Division’s investigation, calling it a potential "whitewashing" exercise.

Something is wrong at UM-PPUM. Reports of a potential cancer cluster have emerged, but instead of transparency, staff are reporting a culture of silence. We’re demanding answers.
A graphic with a black background featuring the PSM logo (a raised fist). Large white text reads "Cancer Cluster in UM-PPUM? Staff silenced when they spoke up." The bottom shows a photo of the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) entrance with microscopic images of cancer cells overlaid on the left.

Can you IMAGINE? 8 colleagues in the same Radiology department at Pusat Perubatan UM all hit with Stage 4 cancer and thyroid disorders. AT THE SAME TIME. possible radiation leak? instead of fixing it, the HOD allegedly scolded and tried to silence staff who dared speak up about occupational safety HOD must be fired the moment the investigation is done also, huge respect to @PSMPetalingJaya for helping the workers raise their voices

so, this random girl (actually its me) launched a rare Parliamentary Petition to discipline truant Malaysian MPs, and now she needs 500+ physical signatures to bring it to the Malaysian Parliament by June! 🤯 here is everything you need to know 🧵
A young Indian woman is standing, smiling with a petition document in hand. She is wearing a white top and peach skirt. She is standing in front of a peachy looking historical building, known as Sultan Abdul Samad building.
