🚨THE BIG LIGUE 1 PREVIEW🚨 @Ligue1 is BACK today and the Le Classique team and friend of the pod @Jon_LeGossip have it all covered, including: 🏆Challengers to PSG 👨‍💼Manager merry go round ⭐️Future stars SPOTIFY: tinyurl.com/45vudm5z APPLE: tinyurl.com/2kx9aezh

So many wonderful players on show tonight in one of the best games of the season. But my goodness has Fabian Ruiz had himself a hell of a game. He’s been everywhere; his physicality in midfield is such an asset for PSG. And just what a smart player. #PSGBAR

Always, always watch Ligue 1 if you want to find great talent. #PSGBarça

Plenty to like in #Ligue1 this season: 🏆5 teams leading the pack on 14pts ⭐️New (Sinayoko) and old (Thauvin, Giroud) stars showing their ability ⚽️Plenty of (spectacular) goals. Always a joy to join @mattspiro & @Jon_LeGossip to discuss this on @FrenchFootShow ⬇️

We saw it in Ligue 1 first and we’re not exactly surprised. Still, what a game Ayyoub Bouaddi is having. #MCIPSG (Follow Ligue 1 and 🇫🇷 football, everyone)

🚨THE Z FILES: EPISODE 1🚨 With Zinedine Zidane (finally?) managing Les Bleus, we take the opportunity to go back in time and look at the maestro’s iconic games for 🇫🇷. We start, of course, with the 1998 final. SPOTIFY: tinyurl.com/3t74x8tj APPLE: tinyurl.com/32vnzpbu

Strong sense of déjà vu with RDZ and the expensive mid-season trips to Rome to reinforce camaraderie. Interesting when there’s always clearly been one common denominator to the underlying chaos (though, to be fair to RDZ too, Marseille is a special place for that).

🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 2026-27: MARSEILLE🚨 We had to finish with the inimitable #OM. The Longoria-Benatia-De Zerbi triumvirate imploded and Genesio & Lorenzi are now asking for patience. Will fans stay on side? #Ligue1 SPOTIFY: tinyurl.com/252pwz33 APPLE: tinyurl.com/yj49c26w

🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 2026-27: LORIENT🚨 Our penultimate episode takes us back to Brittany & the wonderfully-named Merlus of Lorient. With Pantaloni gone and Dujeux at the helm, can they build on last season’s success? SPOTIFY: tinyurl.com/5x6x73kj APPLE: tinyurl.com/4u7v9jeh

A brave defeat at the Velodrome for #OM, with the players fighting hard for Genesio. If this is to be a new OM, then the reaction around the club needs to take into account the difficult early schedule. October with games vs Troyes, Angers & Le Havre will be telling. #OMPSG

ZZ reveals his first squad. 5 newcomers, including two Ligue 1 players in GK Guillaume Restes and striker Esteban Lepaul. An exciting squad with a sense of renewal and meritocracy. #FFF

🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 2026-27: BREST🚨 We go back to Brittany to take a look at the Stade Brestois, pay homage to the sadly departed Eric Roy and laud the club’s stability & intriguing transfer window. #SB29 SPOTIFY: tinyurl.com/47juec2y APPLE: tinyurl.com/3hcusun9

It’s an extraordinary and sudden development for a club that has tended to aim for stability. Toppmöller was supposed to herald a new era, and much was made of the ambition behind his appointment. Despite a somewhat uneven start, this is surprising & the statement is…ambiguous.

“In the spirit of mutual respect (…) following discussions on the life of the group, the staff’s ways of working & organisation, the club informed [Toppmöller] of its desire to restructure the staff”. The Lens manager refused to sanction such changes; he’s now gone #RCL

🚨WHAT? Surprising news that Lens, after 4 Ligue 1 games, a win in the Trophée des Champions (vs PSG) and away in the #UCL, are reportedly about to sack new manager Dino Toppmöller, with assistant Yannick Cahuzac (long touted as future No.1) taking over lequipe.fr/Football/Actualit…

🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 26-27: RC STRASBOURG🚨 “Welcome to Chelsea B”. A provocative tagline for #RCSA, a club that deserves and offers much more than being a #CFC satellite club. Can they thrive despite the chaos? SPOTIFY: tinyurl.com/yszt8bxy APPLE: tinyurl.com/54cdr3u5

Big game in @Ligue1_ENG tonight. #SRFC are our main dark horse to challenge for 2nd place whilst #OM are a defeat away from entering early crisis mode (c’est Marseille, bébé). With the transfer window behind us, time to see 2 good managers put their stamp on their team #SRFCOM

Mesloub is the poster boy but Lens have quietly gone about signing/producing young talent. Their starting back four of Risser-Sagnan-Ganiou-Antonio yesterday was aged 21-21-21-18. With 19yo Bulatovic in midfield. In a #UCL game. It makes the #RCL performance even more impressive.

🚨TOUR DE FRANCE 2026-27: LYON🚨 We turn next to #OL. Freed from fraudster Textor, after a positive season of good vibes, can Les Gones continue to stabilise and aim high? #TeamOL SPOTIFY: tinyurl.com/2xmv9upr APPLE: tinyurl.com/499fm4jk
