Maybe I’m harsh and out of line but to me the mentality of the squad is still very very poor.
Rogers wasn’t good against Liverpool and most importantly we lost the game but hey at least he scored a pen. This isn’t the first time either aswell, I remember JP and Rogers posted after we drew at home to newly promoted Hull City.

The honest truth is Chelsea fans are suffering from severe trauma and many don’t know how to compute it and think rationally.
We had 20 years of the highest of highs and 4 years of total dross.
We are stuck in a chasm of flight or fight.
Everytime something is good it feels like we are “back” to the good old days and then as soon as there is a blip, we resort to spiralling out of control.
The last week has been awful. Awful results and awful performances.
I totally understand the frustration. I too am perplexed by some of Alonso’s decisions and the way that some of the players have played.
Sadly, Alonso inherited a lot of mediocre players, many of whom we managed to get rid of this summer, some who are still here.
But that doesn’t negate from the fact that Alonso needs to sort this out himself. He is the manager and he has to find a way of turning the tide.
The football hasn’t been good enough but for me, it’s not a time to panic. Football can change so quickly. A win this weekend can be the catalyst we need to build momentum.
It’s not all doom and gloom. We are still 5th and have time to turn things around but I do totally appreciate the frustration and anger.

…and after such a massive mistake against spurs he could have easily crumbled tonight under the pressure. But with critical eyes on him he showed what he’s about. Top performance, especially second half.

It is pretty crazy how quickly things can change at a club. A week ago if you asked a Chelsea fan about Xabi Alonso they’d tell you we were heading in the right direction results wise but have a few questions on style of play. If you asked the same person today they might actually be leaning to losing faith in him.
Manchester United has to be a win or I can see him losing a majority of the fanbase.
I still believe he deserves time but I have a lot of questions.
Praying this Lacroix injury isn’t bad. I won’t be able to handle seeing Fofana become a regular at this club.
