‘Segue’ comes from Italian ‘segue’ meaning "there follows.” It was originally used as a direction in music, indicating a transition without interruption.
i learnt the word "segue" and have been looking for ways to use it in conversations

A short play for young people⬇️ lazybeescripts.co.uk/Scripts… Two knights, a pirate, a cowboy (or a cowgirl) and Superboy (or Supergirl) all fail to rescue a princess from a dragon. Will a shy, insecure, young prince succeed where they have all failed? @DramaGroups @StageMeetsWorld

My play, Dancing Backwards is now available from @LazyBeeScripts . It's a fab 1-act with 6 speaking roles (5F, 1M) and 2 optional non-speaking roles (M&F) Easy to stage, it's a darkish comedy with a great central part for an older female actor. Brilliant for #festivals - it'll win awards! @amdramcouk @amdramcommunity @DramaGroups @GMDFdrama lazybeescripts.co.uk/Scripts…

Okay, this had me disappearing down another rabit hole...
I want to be completely transparent, by the way; this is not mistake-free Old English. We are both speaking completely off the cuff, impromptu, from the tops of our heads, and neither of us are native speakers. For example, I say "ānes" where I should have said "ǣne", I mistook "lēod" for "lēoþ", and there are plenty of infelicities. Any non-native speaker who claims to speak a language error-free is kidding you. But, when we agknowledge this (that we are always going to make mistakes), we can move forwards with the confidence needed to make PROGRESS. The number one enemy to language acquisition is fear! The fastest learners are the ones who aren't afraid of letting everyone see them slip up.
