One of the many reasons I don’t listen to Cape Town’s Islamic radio stations and I’ve stopped going to the mosque. Fire & brimstone tings mixed up with people who think they are “learned” so it automatically means they are ordained to pass judgement - miiiiiiiiss me with this 😤

Sometimes our Muslim radio station chooses the most interesting (not) Imams to speak. Today’s imam used the term “Water slamse” and why do people only become Muslim during Ramadan. Judgmental much?

And then when we point it out and we’re told “corrections should be/will be done in private.” but it’s the same thing next week. Maybe the reason the “water slamse” exist is because they don’t feel welcome in Islam. That’s the true shame 💔

I’m really excited for my next therapy session because my psychiatrist has a new practice location and it looks so dreamy (there’s a fountain in a garden with a quiet waiting area where you can read books and calm yourself before you head back into the outside world) 🥰

That’s because I am a connoisseur when it comes to Smash Burgers specifically 😂 Also the best smash burger in the country goes to Talladega Grill in Cape Town. Don’t sleep on them 😂
