JUST IN: State of Emergency has been declared in Iceland after the country has experienced over 1000 earthquakes in the Grindavik area. Since late October, the Grindavik area has experienced over 24,000 tremors. Icelandic authorities are now fearing that a volcanic eruption may be eminent which could impact the popular TikToker destination, the Blue Lagoon. (Video below) "The National police chief… declares a state of emergency for civil defence due to the intense earthquake (activity) at Sundhnjukagigar, north of Grindavik" said the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management.
