#AVFC to extend Unai Emery's contract beyond 2029. Led by Nassef Sawiris, the plan is to also renew the contracts of Emery's key football executives, Roberto Olabe and Damian Vidagany. Villa had informed Emery of their intentions to renew his contract some time ago, with the 55yo happy at the club. Story @TheAthleticFC

Joao Gomes has disappointed me so far this season.
I optimistically put his headloss in the Brighton game down to trying too hard on his debut…
But all I’m seeing is reckless challenges, silly off-ball behaviour and regular blind passes in our own box.
Not writing him off… just disappointed so far.
There is positives to take for sure but we need to be much more direct second half cause playing out from the back is killing us
