When @HillaryClinton took the DNC stage in July 2016, women were <20% Congress, <25% state legislators, & 6 of 50 governors. In 2024, women are:
12/50 governors
28% Congress
32.9% state legislators
34 mayors in 100 most populous cities
& Vice President 💁🏾♀️

Whether or not childcare is infrastructure is really a debate abt the role of women in society - abt how much power women are allowed to have vis-à-vis men. Framing care as infrastructure fundamentally reshapes gender roles bc it transforms women from caretakers to💰providers
Millions of women have been forced out of the workforce, with many citing a lack of childcare. But this problem isn't new; it's just been intensified by the pandemic. We've never invested in families like other developed nations, and it's holding us back.

Design matters!
Showing red vs. blue maps leads people to see America as more divided—and judge people more by their state's stereotypes.
Data: purple maps of state proportions are more accurate, and reduce perceived polarization and stereotypes.

VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE SHARE WIDELY. There is no longer really voting by mail in many states. If you haven’t sent in your ballot, it is likely too late for it to count. Find other options ASAP. Drop it off. Vote in person. This is a great resource. iwillvote.com
