After almost 11 years @theUL, I am thrilled to have been appointed Director of @RSLiterature. I will miss the UL’s lovely people (and collection!), but I can’t wait to get to know all the wonderful writers and my new colleagues at the RSL
We are pleased to announce that we have appointed a new Director of the RSL and welcome Laura Greenfield, who will join the RSL this summer from her role as Director of Services and Engagement of Cambridge University Library @theUL.

This reminds me… only a week to go until the next @theUL Really Popular Book Club. Come and chat about Mr Loverman by Bernadine Evaristo with me and Yvonne Battle Felton lib.cam.ac.uk/whats/really.... Off to start my reading
My cartoon for this week’s @GuardianBooks

ALT Image: a floodlight projects the image of a bat onto the sky. Buildings are aflame and clouds of smoke rise ominously. Inside his apartment, Batman reads a novel with a scowl. Caption: The crime wave raged across Gotham City, but it was book club tomorrow and Batman had, once again, left a great deal of the reading until the last minute.

We’ve created a guide for new and returning University of Cambridge students, including online resources, top tips, skills training, tours, collections, and what’s new this term.
If in doubt, ask a librarian. We'll either know or we'll know how to know!

We’ve got a beautiful exhibition full of beautiful things opening tomorrow @theUL. The team have done a fantastic job. I’m sorry Thomas Van Erpe’s collecting career was cut short by the plague, but I’m really glad his collection ended up here!
Endless Stories opens tomorrow at Cambridge University Library!
The exhibition showcases the extraordinary manuscripts collected by 17th-century visionary, Thomas Van Erpe – including works in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Malay.

My kids want to know if I work in the tallest library in the UK! Does anyone know if @theUL the tallest?
We’ve launched our new online Book Club season! Free, open to all, come to as many or as few as you fancy. Next week @ciditcharlotte and I kick off with The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, and she’s set some great topics, like ‘is Harold’s journey a pilgrimage?’
