Next week I’m doing a live @penpotapp hands-on session where we’ll create a UI from start to finish. But I need some ideas!
If there’s any Penpot specifics you want to learn, please add your suggestions. Otherwise I’ll be forced to come up with my own weird ideas…
This time next week I’ll be opening c’t <webdev> in Cologne with my talk “This One Weird Trick Tells Us Everything About You.”
Let me know if you’re going to be there, I’d love to say hi!
This afternoon I’m demoing Penpot flex and grid layouts in a free livestream with Q&A.
I can’t overstate how valuable this feature is to both designers and devs. It’ll blow your socks off.
If you’re new to the concepts of CSS flex and grid, you should find this helpful too!

I wrote this for my designer pals who want to design real web layouts (and for my web dev pals fed up with trying to translate pixel-perfect mockups to the web!)
With Penpot, you can use CSS Flex and CSS Grid layouts to make flexible, responsive designs without knowing how to code

Now that I’ve got a whole row to myself on the @penpotapp Libraries & Templates page, I thought I should probably update the world on what I’ve been up to for the last few months!
Stay tuned to the @penpotapp community (I won’t pretend I’m any good at updating my own socials) for more tutorials, articles, videos, templates, and other exciting projects we’ve got in the works.

Next up in our video channel: @LauraKalbag and her opening talk of day 2 at #btconf in Düsseldorf. It is titled “Small Technology: Building Tech That Respects Our Rights”. Thanks Laura ,for being part of the festival. Enjoy watching! youtu.be/Kogc5d_mDBo
Snuck up on me.
Here for @ncraftsConf tomorrow. Let me know if you’re here too!
Goood morning #btConf! Looking forward to speaking tomorrow and seeing some fabulous talks today.
I have short hair now! Unfortunately I have not improved my selfie-taking skills…
A little while ago I got to have a good chat with the wonderful @JoshuaKGoldberg. We covered so many topics… state machines, the small web, dogs, cats, and underwear? It’s honestly a surprise that we didn’t get sillier.
Laura Kalbag is the Developer Advocate at @statelyai and she joins the show with @JoshuaKGoldberg to talk about state machines, building good documentation, and more.

@LauraKalbag
Friends! I’m looking for my next role after nearly three years at Stately. I’m a UX designer who is just as comfortable in front-end development. I also love writing, giving talks, and making videos, so I’m up for dev and design advocacy roles, too.
If you want to know more about me or my work, my website is laurakalbag.com, you can find my book, Accessibility For Everyone, at abookapart.com/products/acce…, and here’s a talk I gave a few years ago at New Adventures that really sums up my approach: youtube.com/watch?v=F5CvwioU…
