So so proud to coordinate our TIC program!! If any teachers in Santa Cruz are interested in hatching trout in their classroom, dm me!! ๐๐
SCMBAS volunteers are out delivering fish eggs! K-12 students are hatching fish in association with curricula focused on building connections between the importance of healthy aquatic habitats and the success of our local fisheries! Check it out: wildlife.ca.gov/CAEP

A great write up from @Fishbiology on our recent paper in @EvolAppJournal led by @LauraGExplorer! Life-history and phenotypic variation depends on ancestry and environment in Central Valley steelhead. @UCSC_Fisheries @NOAAFisheries

ALT Two men embrace passionately and kiss. One asks the other "please do the Buscemi eyes for me..." The other man spontaneously changes his face such that his eyes resemble actor Steve Buscemi's; large, wet, heavy-lidded, brimming with great humanity. The non-Buscemi man is deeply into it. He SMEKs the Buscemi man on the cheek and says "God, you're so fucking hot." The Buscemi man becomes flush with arousal.

His behavior is a gross extreme of enforcing "boundaries" on someone, but I do think it's relevant for us normal people to remember as well. You control yourself and your own behavior, not the people you love. Period!

popular opinion: yes they are because they are conditioned to be by society even if unintentionally. what matters is them actively working to be antiracist despite being beneficiaries of systemic racism.

This is just a friendly reminder that buying a book, reading it, and then returning it actually costs authors money. Itโs not net zero. Stop using Amazon as a library and go to the real library.
