None of us will ever know the facts behind the decision to sack this guy. I know the results and performances at home werenโt where they needed to be, but neither was the quality or balance of youth and experience in the squad he was left with.
Whatever happened, (I know thereโs no room for sentiment) itโs a fact that he put his neck on the line to ensure the club had a future. He loved our club, gave it his all as a player and a manager and seemed to be a thoroughly decent human being. Thank you Shaun Maloney ๐ #wafc
Our first away day of the season ๐ Disappointing result and performance but itโs been a lovely sunny day! Thanks @WiganAthSC for looking after us ๐#itsthehopethatkillsyou #wafc

Yesterdayโs news from @LaticsOfficial made me so happy after these awful past few months for our beloved club ๐ THE best news for me is the retention of this guy. This message to me was recorded when I missed the FA cup dinner after having a stroke. What a special human being ๐ โ at Wigan, England
A thread at the end of a dismal season as a Latics fanโฆ Thereโs clearly so much happening off the pitch at Latics that took away the opportunity today for fans to say thank you to the players and staff for all of their effort and commitment through the toughest of seasons. โ at Wigan, England
I think thatโs such a shame and those responsible for this ongoing chaos owe far more of an explanation than they are currently offering. As a lifelong fan I so want to #believe that there are better times ahead and that these grey clouds will shift. Time will tell I supposeโฆ โ at Wigan, England
