Worst pick of Round 1
This guy has the ceiling of Alex Smith. Late 3rd would be a fair pick to use on him. Really surprised by Chicago
AP voter Greg Luca had Miss State #18 and Pitt #23 last week.
Miss State lost by 33 points to Alabama.
Pitt beat 4-0 Virginia Tech on the road.
You want to know where he has those two ranked in his ballot today?
He moved 4-1 Miss State up to #10.
He dropped 5-0 Pitt to unranked.
Yes, he moved Miss State UP 8 SPOTS FOR LOSING BY 33 POINTS, and dropped Pitt OUT OF THE RANKINGS FOR BEATING AN UNDEFEATED TEAM ON THE ROAD.

Much has been made of the Patriots’ mysterious “Pink Stripes.” How about yellow ones?
I went through more than a decade of TV broadcasts and uncovered a diabolically clever piece of Patriots gamesmanship.
When opposing kickers lined up at Gillette Stadium, the video board displayed a reverse view of the kick, placing a second, offset set of yellow uprights directly behind the real ones.
In windy conditions, even the orange streamers on the video board appeared to point in the opposite direction from those atop the physical uprights, making the illusion even more disorienting.
I found dozens of examples. In the same games, I reviewed 52 Patriots field goal attempts.
The illusion appeared on Patriots kicks exactly zero times.
We actually tried copying the idea when I was in Philadelphia, but the location of the video boards at Lincoln Financial Field made it nearly useless.
It is the perfect encapsulation of the Patriots dynasty. No detail was too small, and no possible edge was left unexplored.
We talked about this tactic and more on tonight’s episode of the Paganetti and Underhill show, out now on Youtube

Some random examples of the massive difference in the portal now on asking price. I fear some extra in house rules will be needed now to avoid the rebuilds being to easy. I definitely recommend some testing on what sliders works for you. #cfb27
The patch made some major changes to asking price of players and lowered it. This is for both your players and some portal players.
I had my max # at 30 with chance -5 from default. I only lost like 12 or so. The 70 overall types on my roster were no longer asking for 50+. I was able to bring several back for 10
Pre patch QB’s like Carlisle asked for 35 which was the lowest for any QB. That number is now 5 for him and a lot of other QB. At first glance the lowered asking price is for 3* and not 4
My star HB who I didn’t meet his dealbreaker before 200 wouldn’t bring him back. He came back with 50. He was hurt during the year, but still had 700 yards.

Version 1.0 of the #CFB27 Heisman Sliders are posted. Thanks to @mrhurriicane and @CornflakesCRF for testing. Enjoy!

Love when people catch the little details I put in there 🥹
Never seen this in a video game.. at practice @uscfb puts a white stripe on their helmets so when they watch film they can track where players are looking during a play. It’s obviously never on for games. If you go into practice mode with USC this is what they’re wearing:

The biggest problem in dynasty right now is CPU roster construction and it’s been that way since 25.
~1,400 3 stars in a class
At least half unsigned
62 G6 programs signed one or fewer 3 stars.
20 teams signed less than 10 overall recruits (HS + portal)

After 7 hours of dynasty on stream, game play is really really good. I wish the CPU QBs didn't snap the ball within 5 seconds though. Would be nice to have more time to make adjustments. @ScottOGallagher @Official_Mole

It should be more common for generated recruits to wear lower numbers (0-19) at positions where they’re now common in real college football.
Modern CFB is full of:
• Single-digit RBs
• TEs wearing 0-19
• Defensive linemen wearing 0, 1, 4, 7, 9, etc.
Yet Dynasty recruits rarely generate with these numbers.
—
‼️ Dynasty players should ALSO have enough control to fix awful looking jersey assignments.
What happens when:
• A 5-star RB signs and gets assigned #47.
• A transfer who wears #8 arrives on your team and his number changes automatically to #86 🫠
• A generated DT gets #94 when you’d rather give him #0.
?
In real life, coaches assign jersey numbers. In Dynasty, we should have this control.
The ideal solution:
✅ More realistic number generation based on modern college football trends.
✅ Jersey number editing enabled for generated recruits, and transfer portal players.

Every fan and analyst that loves college football absolutely despises the idea of a 24-team playoff and yet we all know they are going to do it anyway.
The people that run the sport don’t love it as much as the people that watch it.
That much is clear.
