Twelve scans in. Twelve named files out.
This is the job I'm building Pip to do: read each document, give it a name a person can read, file it into a real Finder folder, and pull up what's due.
Losing your insurance card is bad. Hunting for a photo of it at the front desk, with a line behind you, is worse.
I'm building Pip for that minute. He reads the card, names it, and files it in a Finder folder.
Papers you'll be asked for in a hurry — and where they usually hide:
Insurance cards: your photo reel, but your insurer probably has an app version too.
Birth certificates: I've found them in sock drawers. Put eyes on where you last saw them.
Passport: if it's missing, check your luggage from your last trip.
Rabies certificate: if you can't find the printed copy, call your vet's office.
Car registration: hopefully in your glovebox.
Find them on a calm day, not a bad one.
If this was useful, the longer version is here — the 11 documents every family should have:

A rule I keep coming back to while building Pip: every document ends up as a normal file in a Finder folder you can open without him.
If Pip disappeared tomorrow, your paperwork should still be sitting right there in Finder.
Parents, which document do you lose most often: the insurance card, the birth certificate, or the permission slip that was due yesterday? I'm asking for Pip, and I'm also asking for me.
Pip's new build reads with Apple's on-device AI. No cloud AI, no AI account, no Pip server. You drop in the dentist bill and he names it and files it into a real Finder folder. Your documents stay on your Mac.

Today I’m announcing the first build of a new tool that will change the way we create AI art forever.
Major advances in AI have unlocked potential, and we have made it possible for more people to access it.
