quick links.
contact otw
transformativeworks.org
they are our legal defense when it comes to fanfics
contact their host services:
abuse@spaceship.com
alert them that one of their sites is being used to monetize copyrighted material illegally
contact their transaction provider:
legal@dodopayments.com
CC as well: support@dodopayments.com
zo3life's payment processor is dodopayments.
write to them that their services are being used inappropriately.
invoke your rights. note that ao3life is stating that authors are getting 91% of profits when you have not consented or known about this.
taking down payment options will kill this site the fasts
โAuthors get paid hereโ and they probably just rob your bank details as theyโve done with your works. Disgusting.

Repost so everyone stays informed:
DO NOT email them
DO NOT sign up
DO NOT give them money for audio books
DO NOT sign up for monetisation of works
DO NOT download
This seems to be a huge data scrape of deleted & available works uploaded to Ao3 only. Just DON'T INTERACT!!

My little tech/bank security background is screaming *not* to follow the procedure mentioned. AO3 doesnโt publicize your email, therefore this site shouldnโt know which email is linked to your account. Highly possible this is a scam to hack AO3 accounts while theyโre down!

Instead of contacting ao3.life you can contact the websites hosting provider. you can submit a copyright infringement report to their Trust & Safety team. Hopefully they take commercial exploitation seriously and can remove the website's servers if they ignore us
can't find the tweet now but guys pls don't contact those ao3.life guys with the email of your ao3 account. they are not affiliated with ao3 so they have no businees knowing what email is even attached to your accounts. it makes no sense

This site is hosted by Namecheap, and you can contact their domain host with complaints at abuse@spaceship.com
Every single work that has been reposted to this site without the express permission of the original fanfic authors is a violation of copyright

About the vibecoded ai slop website scrapping fics off of AO3: DO NOT email them from any emails you use (create a new one if you wish to email them abt your fics) and DO NOT leave the email associated w your AO3 account in the said email. They should NOT be asking for +

Hmmm so AO3 is down ๐ญ๐ญ
That was not the planโฆ
Dear authors, weโll keep you posted and reorganize as soon as AO3 is back up so we can put together a new schedule with you!

Okay everyone do not email to ao3[dot]life because the site might by fishing for our email ids and it can cause security risks.
The site has also been reported to OTW.
If enough people report to the hosting platform, the site might be taken down since their activity is illegal.
Sending the website directly an email linked to your ao3 account looks really dubious, as they shouldnโt be able to link your email to your ao3 user.
please report the theft of intellectual property for financial gain being perpetrated by ao3.life at the below email. This isnโt just a concern for authors, but for ao3 and fan content itself. Making money off of fan content is illegal. This puts us all at risk.

Contact the domain host instead, you don't have to use your AO3 email, only provide proof of your ownership of the content and include all the offending links in one email.

PLEASE, fellow authors, don't just email the website asking for your fics to be removed. Document EVERYTHING. File DMCA takedown notices with the site's hosting provider, report copyright infringement to its registrar, and contact OTW Legal Advocacy.
