its really funny how these people can't see ai used in the process of making art is going to go through the same process of acceptance as the coding. good use of it will keep proving effective and capable until denying it will be seen the same as calling electricity the devil.

this is probably where the split will be where AI used behind the scenes in dev motion will be grumbled about but soon ignored while AI art/voice/video whatever will still be a red line for many
call me crazy here, but the part highlighted seems more like it's just schreier's editorialized expectation, not a vow. the quote it's based on is just 'do things more quickly' which is vague and can mean a lot of different things. it does not promise a faster release timeline.
Rockstar VOWS their next game will NOT take 8 years to make, and that GTA 6 serves as their foundation going forward:
“The engine, the tools and the team we’ve built during this project will allow us to do things more quickly" and they talk about how GTA 3 allowed them to make Vice City and then San Andreas much faster. GTA 6 changed the foundations of their workflow and engine, and they have no intention to rip it out again.
I hope this means a Bully 2, LA Noire 2, RDR3, GTA 7 and more are games that we see within the next decade, rather than just one of them.
he's proposing government take 50% ownership stake in ai labs, and that's inevitably going to be called a bailout by every anti-ai reactionary. a lot of his supporters are going to despise this choice, and insist ai is a sinking ship and want to see it collapse.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
it's always so funny when they do this, as if they aren't also stealing. you put videos on youtube with sponsorships, giving youtube 0% of the revenue? the platform survives on ad rev, and you are underhandedly circumventing it through sponsor deals.
Asmongold believes using adblock is technically “stealing” because viewers are watching content while blocking one of the ways creators make money.
“I think I support ad blocking, and it is stealing. That’s my opinion.”
“There is no universe in which ad block is ethical.”
Despite calling it unethical, Asmongold says he still supports his viewers using ad blockers and doesn’t blame or condemn people for using it.

looking to me like there's a new meta and it's simply writing out fake quotes alongside a video. it's made to look like solid proof of a person saying something provocative. but it only works if the audience doesn't watch the video. ppl are reacting to just the fake quotes.
Reporter: "Are you serious about arresting Netanyahu?"
Mamdani: "100%. Yes."
Reporter: "Trump said he won’t."
Mamdani: "He has a warrant for war crimes. Trump may protect him. I won't."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The quoted statements in this post were never made; not by Mamdani, nor the journalist who asked him about the Israeli Prime Minister.
Mamdani stated that he would honor international arrest warrants issued by the ICJ, as well as act in accordance with local laws.

Shawn Fain won UAW's biggest contract victories in 40 years and organized the South for the first time ever. Now, right before his re-election and ahead of a potential 2028 general strike, the DOJ opened a grand jury investigation into him — via a federal monitor Fain has clashed with since the UAW's Gaza ceasefire resolution.
Unions are one of the last real structural checks on oligarchy. That's exactly why the most effective labor leader in a generation is facing this kind of pressure right when it matters most. We need to watch this story closely.

One of the many problems with countering lies is it takes two seconds to lie and a lot more effort to share truth.
The truth in this case is that 13 years ago some terrorists stole a USAID tent.
13 years later a trillionaire manipulates that photo to lie.
I'm going to bed.

MAJOR BREAKING: In a now deleted post by former MMA fighter Daniel Cormier, he posted screenshots of Eric Trump trying to get an insider scoop on whether any of the MMA fights at the White House are rigged so that he could try and illegally make money off of them..
Below is the Direct Messages that Trump allegedly sent Cormier. There is no reason to doubt the legitimacy of these messages.
nobody is claiming the conversation equates to endorsement. they saying that because he literally said the words "i will do everything in my power to get her elected." who the fuck in his community enjoys being gaslit like this? disabling comments is so bitchmade. go fk yrself.

LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CONVERSATION WITH A POLITICIAN AND AN ENDORSEMENT YALL 🙂↔️ PLEASE AND THANK YOU 🫶🏿
this is such pathetic propaganda. saying you will everything in your power to ensure someone is elected IS an endorsement. in fact it's a very strongly worded endorsement.
it's so fucking refreshing to see a progressive person admitting this. I've always been against assisted suicide because in a system where the best palliative care is gatekept by wealth, it guarantees the suffering poor will want to die more than the suffering rich.
