The pursuit of new knowledge is always exciting. But taking the old, the new and the hands on experience of thousands of games/ sessions to influence each player to find one small success at a time makes me whole.

With sometimes monotonous warm-up drills, you gotta build in whatever methods keep their focus and keep it FUN! With the very youngest age we work with, @LanceNextlevel using me as a prop for some INTENT & FUN! We got one BINGO!

If you treat a movement skill (like a baseball or golf swing) like a fragile piece of glass that you should be incredibly careful with when you finally "get it down",not doing anything to mess with rythym or timing for example, it will invitably break into pieces on you..

The more I think about sports decision making the more I believe we have it backwards - its not about reacting fast & taking the best option quickly. Its about acting to keep as many options open for as long as possible until one affordance is more inviting & a decision emerges.

You will never be proficient at letting the ball "get deep" if your barrel action is steep and pushy to the ball. Path is everything.
