Thank you to @AndreaMiyahira and @PCFnews and for the opportunity to discuss our research on AR-V7 transcriptional condensates in advanced prostate cancer models. This work was led by @ShabnamMassah, a talented post-doctoral trainee in my lab.
Understanding AR-V7 transcriptional condensates in advanced #ProstateCancer models. @Lallousnada @UBC joins @AndreaMiyahira @PCFnews revealing AR-V7 forms condensates without androgens—unlike full-length AR. These structures target chimeric FOXA1-AR sites & drive hypoxia/KRAS programs. Disrupting condensates uncovers distinct gene signatures tied to progression. Future: proteomics + genomic determinants = new therapy paths. #WatchNow > bit.ly/4jZvHFN

Check out our bioRxiv preprint summarizing our work on AR-V7 condensates, their role in activating a specific gene signature, and enhancing its expression in CRPC models. This work, led by post-doctoral trainee @ShabnamMassah, benefited greatly from co-authors and collaborators.

How does AR activation affect gene expression? Our new paper shows it’s less about creating new loops and more about amplifying contact frequency in existing ones. Explore in @NatureComms (rdcu.be/dYYOL) Tweetorial below: #AR #Epigenetics #prostatecancer

Checkout the latest work from the lab online today in @MolecularCell where we find that distinct sequence features encoded in IDRs are responsible for targeting proteins to specific condensates. This work was led by @Nancybrillet @Prashan10011102 and @TvReshma .

Great work showcasing an additional layer of complexity in the role of DNA-bound condensates in living cells!
Chromatin scientists, want to reorganize genomic loci as you wish? Out today in Cell--We made a tool that uses surface tension of engineered condensates to reposition DNA loci across microns of space in living cells in just a few minutes: VECTOR cell.com/cell/abstract/S0092…
