In honor of @baldursgate3 1st anniversary, I’d like to share this lesson the game taught me:
You have an equal chance of rolling a Critical Fail as you do a Critical Success. So keep going.
Thank you @larianstudios . I want you to have it all ❤️ #BaldursGate3
In my last 10K, I gained a new Passive: “controlled fade.” -5 Attack Roll penalty in exchange for bonus HP. Far from my best time, but when it’s HOT, lower effort means more energy to sprint to the finish!

When you feel that goal time slip away so you quote Astarion and say, “Let’s have a little fun” then run like him across the finish line.

This was already 2 weeks ago. I have never been so sure of something only to fail so miserably. But I survived the flames of Avernus.

It IS Monday after all! #AprilFoolsDay2024

Reykjavik Marathon goes through Baldur’s Gate (Baldursgata / Baldur’s Street). In the final few miles. Literal Act 3.
Guess I have to run it now (green line is marathon route) cc @larianstudios #BaldursGate3
If we sacrifice a magic item before running @sfhalfmarathon tomorrow, will the wind calm down? #galesnax #BaldursGate3 #IYKYK
No better way to describe my outlook for 2024.
“Take the torch, withstand the elements, prove your courage”
…while covered in dirt and grime from the year before!

It’s official: playing @baldursgate3 made me a faster runner. The mindset coaching from treating running like a TTRPG led to the best 15K of my life.

I tried to Astarion run to the finish and I don’t think it landed.
What @baldursgate3 taught me about marathons: You can train, level up, but still lose if the dice roll low. Sometimes you’re lucky. Sometimes doing everything perfectly isn’t enough. But you control what you can, leave the rest, enjoy the quest. And give it your best.

Wherever dog may roam ❤️
You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA! Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @SoFiStadium and made her way to the gig all by herself.
After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day. She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including “Barx Æterna,” “Master of Puppies,” and “The Mailman That Never Comes.”
And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day…
Just finished the “For Great Justice” side quest in #finalfantasyxvi and Clive didn’t say “How are you gentlemen” to the enemies.
My take on how distance running is exactly like an RPG is in the latest @runnersworld print edition!
I was today years old when I noticed the Final Fantasy XVI title screen is the original Final Fantasy title screen music but in an ominous minor key.
Was #runner trending just now? Or just me?
Here’s me at @theSFmarathon with an empty HP bar from start to finish. It was one of those days. Reloading save and trying again.

Now onto #FinalFantasyXVI where Chocobos are the badass medieval noble steeds. That aesthetic works.
I just finished Zelda #TearsOfTheKingdom
One of the most gorgeous endings to a game I have ever seen. I also finished the final battle in one try.
So @runnersworld asked for run playlist recs so I had to add “Storytime” by @NightwishBand, my old finish line anthem and forever inspiration runnersworld.com/runners-sto…
