We’ve been working on this for a few months now trying to get the schedule right but here we go. Since the AC Shadows drama I’ve seen just how “othered” black people can be when they have a different point of view or just a common sense take that goes against whatever the acceptable way of thinking is. Im not the only person who’s black or any other race who’s been talked down on and made to feel like they don’t belong in their skin color because of those things. It was an eye opening experience and instead of running I stood there and took all the harassment and hatred and turned it into inspiration. My boy @officialatraes has gone through similar things a lot so I hit him up and wanted to see if he’d like to do a weekly show with me going over pop culture stuff and black twitter. He agreed and now here we are with New Black Street! Every Friday from 5-7 cst we’ll be talking pop culture in movies, tv, gaming, AND black twitter 😂.
