Crazy how real this 1981 Looker balcony fall looks.
It was a practical stunt onto a specially built car that could crumple on impact, not some uncontrolled accident.
Pre-CGI filmmaking was on another level.
Iron Man wins the straight fight. Batman needs prep time to even the odds. Classic comic book what-if.
WHO REALLY WINS?
BATMAN vs. IRON MAN
One is a billionaire genius who turns technology into a weapon. The other is a billionaire genius who turns preparation into a weapon.
BATMAN
Batman is a master strategist, detective, and martial artist. He’s defeated physically stronger opponents by studying their weaknesses and exploiting their mistakes. Given enough preparation, he can develop specialised equipment to counter a dangerous enemy.
IRON MAN
Tony Stark has the advantage in firepower, aerial combat, and long-range attacks. His armour gives him enhanced strength, flight, advanced targeting, and weapons Batman would struggle to counter in a direct confrontation.
THE BREAKDOWN
In a sudden encounter, Iron Man has the advantage. Batman’s martial arts and gadgets would be difficult to use effectively against an opponent who can fly and attack from a distance.
But give Batman time to study Tony’s suit and prepare a countermeasure, and the fight becomes much more complicated. Batman’s greatest weapon has always been his ability to prepare for opponents who seem impossible to defeat.
MY VERDICT: IRON MAN WINS A STRAIGHT FIGHT.
With no preparation, Tony’s armour and firepower give him the edge. With significant preparation time, Batman has a much better chance of turning the tables.

Missed 1 call from Mom.
10 minutes later:
• Dad called
• 3 aunts checked in
• My sibling asked if I was alive
• 28 missed calls on my phone
African mothers will declare a national emergency before calling you twice. God bless them all. 😂❤️
How many missed calls before your mom starts panicking?
“What I fear is that… while I am alive, I’ll never understand my purpose.”
THIS is what makes Vision such a fascinating MCU character. Beneath all that intelligence and power is someone simply trying to understand why he exists and what his life truly means.

Six months into our relationship, I borrowed my boyfriend’s phone to order dinner. A message popped up from “Future Wife”: “Your family loves you. When are you going to tell your girlfriend about our engagement?”
My hands went cold.
“Who is your future wife?” I asked.
He sat down. “Please, let me explain.”
“You have one minute.”

Inside the box were dozens of unopened birthday cards.
Every card was addressed to me or my brother.
There were cards for my children’s birthdays, Christmas, and even my wedding anniversary.
Some contained twenty-dollar bills. Others had small handwritten notes.
I looked at the dates.
Dad had prepared them over several years.
“Why didn’t he send these?” I asked.
Denise looked uncomfortable.
“He did send some. They came back.”
I called my brother immediately.
He insisted he had never received anything.
Then Denise showed us a stack of returned envelopes. The addresses were correct, but several had been marked as undeliverable.
One envelope had been opened and resealed.
Inside was a letter Dad had written to my brother.
“Son, I don’t know why you stopped visiting. I hope I haven’t done something to hurt you. I miss you.”
My brother turned away.
For the first time, his anger seemed to disappear.
“Why would he think I stopped visiting?” he whispered.
Denise didn’t answer.
Instead, she pulled another envelope from the box.
It contained a photograph of Dad sitting in a hospital bed.
On the back, he had written:
“Christmas Eve. I waited until midnight.”

Denise finally explained who she was.
She had been Dad’s home health aide after he suffered a stroke. She helped him prepare meals, drove him to appointments, and made sure he took his medication.
Over time, she became the person who sat with him when the house felt too quiet.
“He talked about you constantly,” she said. “He never stopped loving you.”
My brother shook his head.
“Then why didn’t he tell us he was lonely?”
“He did,” Denise replied softly. “He called. He wrote. He asked me to help him reach you.”
I felt sick.
I had missed calls from Dad because I was busy. Sometimes I told myself I would call back after work, after dinner, after the kids went to bed.
Sometimes I forgot.
I had assumed he understood.
But Denise said there was another reason Dad stopped asking us to visit.
“He told me he didn’t want you to feel obligated to care for him. He was afraid you would only come out of guilt.”
My brother sat down.
Then Denise placed a final envelope on the table.
It was addressed to both of us.
4/5
The letter began with an apology.
“I’m sorry I made it so difficult for you to understand me.”
Dad explained that Denise had used her own savings to cover some of his expenses when his insurance and benefits didn’t cover everything he needed. He wanted to repay her.
But he had also made another decision.
He had asked Denise to keep a record of every attempt he made to contact us because he feared we would eventually accuse her of manipulating him.
The letter didn’t prove that every decision in the will was beyond challenge. Our attorney still needed to review the documents and circumstances.
But it showed that Dad had thought about this for a long time.
At the bottom, he had written:
“I am not leaving Denise my home because she replaced you. I am leaving it because she stayed when I was afraid everyone had forgotten me.”
My brother began to cry.
I couldn’t stop thinking about all the times I had said, “I’ll visit next weekend.”
We had been waiting for the perfect time to show up.
Dad had been waiting for us to show up at all.
5/5
My brother still wanted to challenge the will.
I couldn’t blame him for wanting answers, but I no longer believed Denise was automatically the villain.
We asked the attorney to investigate the will, the finances, and the returned letters before making a decision.
A month later, Denise invited us to the house.
She had kept Dad’s old armchair exactly where it was.
On the table lay a birthday card addressed to my daughter. Dad had written it shortly before he died.
“Tell her Grandpa loves her. Tell her I wanted to watch her grow up.”
