We all need a society where we have security in work, housing, and education; with services that meet our needs. This is why legal recognition, with an accessible process which respects our dignity, is crucial. The government's GRA reform does not deliver this.

I'm glad to see this correction, but the reason this was concerning is because it's what Labour tells us constantly: "We're the party of equality, there's no problem".
Labour does have a transphobia problem, and it needs to make real commitments to show it isn't "unconcerned".
I’ve listened back to this clip and fear I’ve mis-spoken at the beginning (can’t quite hear as music kicks in). What I meant to say was “I don’t think people are unconcerned”. It is something we take seriously and as I said at the end, I’m very happy to meet with @LGBTLabour.

The Tory Government has announced they want to ditch key reforms to the GRA. The GRA was one of the most progressive laws passed by the last Labour Government, but it must be updated so trans people can live with dignity.

Liz Truss just spoke at the dispatch box of how she wants to make sure the UK remains a global leader in advancing LGBT+ rights. A good way to do this would be to deliver on the government's promise to deliver GRA reform, not abandon it and make things worse for trans people.

Local Authorities will be banned from adapting facilities for Trans families.
