Following the complaint submitted by myself, Mark Sewards and colleagues to the EHRC, I’m pleased to see this progress:
A spokesperson for the commission said: "We have received complaints alleging unlawful activity under the Equality Act 2010, including concerns that Jewish people could face discrimination because of their beliefs following the adoption of the motion."
The spokesperson said they are assessing the complaints and will "take action where appropriate".
🚨 NEW: The Equality and Human Rights Commission has written to the Green Party about its "Zionism is racism" policy to "assess its practical implications and potential impact".
The watchdog said it has "received complaints alleging unlawful activity".

The wife of Britain's National Security Adviser “spent a very long time in Gaza.”
She laments that Hamas were “blackballed a terrorist entity”.
She quotes a post from a Holocaust denier who was a Palestine Action activist. In it, she complains that Hamas atrocities were prominently reported
She also says “listen and learn” to Jackie Walker’s support for the antisemitic Green Party motion “Zionism is racism”. Walker was expelled from the Labour Party for comments about Holocaust Memorial Day and the slave trade.

I urge you to read the exceptional words of Maurice Cohen, President of the Jewish Representative Council of Ireland. This is not just about the blatant discrimination of @HerbertParkH but the insidious nature of contemporary antisemitism.
