We're currently accepting applications for the MSc in Microbiome in Health and Disease here at @KingsCollegeLon @kingsdentistry Apply to the only dedicated MSc programme in microbiome, covering all aspects, from analysis and theory to interpretation and application.
Our latest paper on Candida-induced metabolic pathway re-programming in epithelial cells is now out in Science Advances. science.org/doi/full/10.1126… Big thanks to @aizepellon @SaeedShoaie @sysbiomelab @thenagliklab @JPRichardsonLab @DokhtNasab
Big thanks to the rest of the team at @KingsCollegeLon and @kingsdentistry
In this study, we showed not only a Warburg-like shift on contact with Candida, but also activation of the cytoplasmic malate shunt as an alternative mechanism to process pyruvate, with implications on survival and damage.
There is still time to apply for October's start to the MSc in Microbiome here at @KingsCollegeLon. sign up while you still can!
