I adore this thank you card from my student who tackled structural biology of ex vivo (brain-derived) prions. Our rodent models are true workhorses - proud of the science and the people behind it.

It was great to host Dr. DeFranco from @ColoradoStateU (Telling Lab) Joe delivered a fantastic seminar on #prion strain evolution and gene-targeted mice that sparked lively discussions and ideas for future collaborations. Bonus: we officially welcome Joe to #KriosHugger community

Pleased to see this chapter finally out - co-wrote it during the COVID lockdowns with my PhD advisor, now Emeritus Prof. Hideaki Nagase. The book took some time to come together, but it’s great to see it in print. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

In this narrative review at @JNeurochem I propose that independent misfolding subdomains in PrP of different host species support prion diversity lacking any universally conserved conformational motifs across those species. Check it out! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

Great talk by ⁦@TomTrainerSci⁩! Revealed prion-induced molecular pathology in primary neurons akin that recently found in an analogous Huntington disease model, showing the power of cryo-ET in situ #teamtomo
